Before being a Community Coordinator at Cloudworks, I was working for another coworking space in London. That was my introduction to the world of coworking. I knew when I moved to Barcelona that I wanted to bring with me all the knowledge I learned about building a great community into a coworking space in this wonderful city.
One of the best things about my role is that no two days are ever the same. My main focus is to create meaningful connections and interesting events for our members to stay well connected and to scale their enterprise. This could be anything from a workshop on SEO, to various networking events and even yoga on the terrace. It’s about creating that important balance between work and life.
The perfect setting to connect with other entrepreneurs and grow your business. Full of plants and sunlight, Cloudworks motivates you to be creative and innovative.
The community we have here, it’s so diverse and I love that. Also, the views are pretty incredible.
For me, the biggest challenge has been the cultural differences and learning how to adapt to them. Being from London, where coworking is much more of a known thing it was easier to connect and engage a community. In Barcelona, we were one of the first in the game and have had to teach people what coworking is, and how they can benefit from it to grow their personal network as well as professionally. Coworking has now become the norm for many companies here, and I strongly believe that coworking is the only future office. Once you go coworking you never go back!
Network, network, network! Make use of the community you have around you and make yourself known in it.
Good question! I am currently watching Big Little Lies and love watching the complex relationships between these women. I am listening to the podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno because it is laugh out loud funny. As for a social media account, I like @hello_artists on instagram, they have great artwork and beautiful imagery.
I love to paint, I studied fine art at university and it is a big passion of mine. I am also a qualified yoga teacher and love to practice any kind of exercise!
Speaking Spanish! Not only learning how to speak spanish, but learning how to work in this beautiful language also. This is by far my biggest learning curve and greatest accomplishment, having only been in Barcelona for 1 year, go me!
Because I am always smiling, ask anyone.
